OUR VISION

The Vision of TACU Ministries is to be a multi‑ethnic, multi‑generational mission‑shaped community that loves God completely (Upward), ourselves correctly (Inward) and our neighbors compassionately (Outward).

The vision of TACU Ministries is birthed out of the very heart of Jesus. First, the Great Commission:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations (ethnic groups), baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18‑20 ESV

Second, the Great Commandment:

And He (Jesus) said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37‑40 ESV

In TACU Ministries vision, “Multi‑ethnic, Multi‑generational, mission‑shaped community” is from the Great Commission and “Love God completely (Upward), Love ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward)” is from the Great Commandment.

OUR VALUES

Acts 2:44 captures one of the great principles of the Christian church as it says, “And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” While we esteem and celebrate the uniqueness of every member of the Body of Christ, we unapologetically value five core areas in the life of the church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us.

EXCELLENCE –“ to glorify God ”

TACU Ministries and Pontiff Hill believe that honoring God with our very best is an essential quality of Christian living. Through all of our ministry programming, we strive to display excellence in all things to the glory of God. Great care is taken to ensure a wonderful, worshipful environment in every area of ministry. We are committed, through the Spirit’s enabling power, to ministry excellence. Ministry excellence is worship!

EVANGELISM – “ by introducing Jesus Christ as Lord ”

Under the direct commission of Jesus Christ, TACU Ministries and Pontiff Hill exists to reach those in our neighborhoods and around the world who have yet to come to faith in Jesus Christ. We provide multiple opportunities to invite unbelieving friends and family members to hear the Gospel. We are committed, by the Spirit’s enabling power, to be a missionary community. Therefore, we will present the timeless truth in a relevant way.

EQUIPPING – “ and to develop them in Christian living ”

One of the great passions of this Ministry is to intentionally share in the process of Christian growth and development of individuals and families. TACU Ministries and Pontiff Hill offers many outlets for discipleship—personally and corporately—through training, mentoring and our vast Bible Fellowship Ministry. We are committed, through the Spirit’s enabling power, to leadership development. The Church rises or falls on the shoulders of Her leaders; therefore, every member must be seen as a “royal priest” and a leader.

EXPANSION – “ using the most effective means to impact the world ”

TACU Ministries and Pontiff Hill are committed to using new and innovative strategies to reach people for Christ. Through our radio and television broadcast ministry, allowing us to reach new communities with the same message. We are committed, through the Spirit’s enabling power, to partner with other churches that desire to advance the Kingdom. We will not compete with other churches.

ENCOURAGEMENT – “Making a positive difference in this generation ”

Beyond growth in faith, we believe in the whole development of every individual and strive to be an encouraging and comforting body of believers. TACU Ministries and Pontiff Hill exist for people. As we develop our people in Christian living, we desire to see individuals and families strengthened by the love shared among the people of this Ministry.
